Royal Show - July

Greenywards 1 Archie, a Doonbiddie Husteler son out of a Dendor female, takes the Hereford top spot as Breed Champion, repeating his 2006 success. "Archie" with the female champion went into the inter-breed pairs competition for the prestigious "Burke Trophy" in which they stood reserve to the Limousin cattle. "Archie" and "Duncan" entered the "Team of Five" and again were reserve to the Limousins.

Greenyards 1 Truelove 2nd was Reserve Senior Female.

Shropshire and West Midland - June

Greenyards 1 Molly 3rd in class, Greenyards 1 Truelove 2nd 1st in class.
Greenyards 1 Archie, now out of retirement since winning Hereford breed championship at the Royal Highland Show 2007, went on to win Hereford breed championship then inter-breed pairs championship with Hazel Timmis' cow Shraden 1 Dowager.
"Archie" then won Exhibitor bred animal and was Reserve Supreme Beef Championship.

Greenyards Duncan takes a first at Drymen & Stirling Show in June and a second at the Higland.

Hereford Cattle Society’s Spring Show and Sale

A bid of 5,000gns topped the Hereford Cattle Society’s Spring Show and Sale, held earlier than usual this year, at Hereford Livestock Market.

Top bid was for the Reserve Male Champion, Greenyards 1 Caesar.

“Caesar”, weighing 852 kgs., is a double cross of two Royal Show Champions, Onondaga Pure Gold and Broatch 1 June.
